Leynia at Delano

In order to get to the restaurant, you have to go through the main lobby of the   Delano hotel. Once you enter your senses are coming alive! The hotel lobby smells fresh but not overpowering, dark woods contrasted by the crisp white floor to ceiling (very high ceilings) curtains and sumptuous cozy furniture. We’ll come back to these sumptuous furnitures later!

So now you passed the lobby, saw the bar on the right with the pool table outside and now you are almost at the gate of what lays ahead…

Now its time to make yourself present at the restaurant’s front counter where you will be greeted by the hostess’ big smiles.

(Tip 1: call for reservations)

When at the front desk, try to focus on the task at hand, I know you will be looking at the buffet table on the left and trying to peek into what is outside…you’ll get there, don’t worry!

music band

While you are stepping out the lanai (fancy for deck) you are greeted by the live music band on the right, another bar to your right and elegant and comfy tables and chairs left and right, as well as big plantantion style fans. But wait, there’s more! Beyond the tables and are wide steps, decorated by greenery that lead on to the pool, and then the beach.

Ok, back to the Brunch. You get to order not one but two  a-la-carte item from the separate menu (included in the cost). And this is additional to the buffet which also includes a desert table. That way you can relax on the Lanay with the music while sipping Champagne (or Mimosas) before getting up to get the rest of the food.

The food is located inside, where you did the check in. It is displayed buffet style. There are your diverse cold cuts, breads, deviled eggs, parfaits, fresh juices on ice buckets, different kind of meats and fish. There is also a sushi bar with meticously crafted rolls.

caviar and champaign

Tip 2: Caviar!

Red and Black (original beluga and salmon not the imitation) caviar at your whim and to satisfy any salty cravings! Pair them up with little pancakes or crackers.

Want some curated meat? no problem, remember I mentioned those couple of wide stairs? Just below is the meat station with the barbeque meat, pork, chicken! The smell of the cooked meats and the smoke of the grill are magical! The taste, amazing!

In the meantime, the Mimosas and Champagne are still flowing so you will not be thirsty!

Are you full already? order the dessert on the menu and also step inside to the dessert bar! Now we’re talking! I always have the dulce de leche….Oh-My-Goodness!

Now that you are actually done, I had mentioned sumptuous and comfy furniture, this is where they come in so now you can take a nap at any of them, including the hammocks!

That’s it for the Brunch! want to stay more? Ask if the pool ticket entrance is included with your brunch (sometimes it is) and enjoy fun times at the pool with awesome DJ!
