I grew up with Hans Christian Andersen stories.  Google him before going and read at lear one story and see if you can hold off reading another one.

Parking

FREE! Yes there are plenty public parking lots and they are free. Just remember to be respectful.

It was an absolute joy walking through Solvang streets and submerging into this magical world.

Bakery is a big thing

Not only for their famous danish and apple breads but also for window displays with all moving parts.

Lunch & Wine

There are plenty of wineries and wine testings in town. Every restaurant offers option of local wine.

Red Viking Restaurant

I ordered the Sausage platter and flavor was unforgettable. of course acompanied by local rose!

This is the best part, the next day breakfast filled with fresh goodies you bring with you and a hot coffee.
