Piola Happy Hour

The first thing you should know, Piola is a chain restaurant. Having said that, they have great pizzas, and it actually doesn’t feel like a large chain restaurant.

We usually order pizzas that have little to no tomato sauce and we’re happy that Piola caters to this type of pizza as well.

But you are not here to read about pizzas (you still will taste them at they are served for happy hour), I promiced a happy hour and this place has a great happy hour where they pass out small bites from the menu at the bar FOR FREE!!!

Piola in South Beach has a separate bar “area” with TV’s to watch sports and if you come with a big group there are tables available so you don’t have to sit at the bar and still enjoy the happy hour. A bartender will come to you with a tray full of tasty stuff or a bowl of pasta so you can taste it all and keep drinking. there is no set menu for what you will get. it is totally up to a chef choice but if you have any diet restrictions you can make a request.

The tip here, if you have lactose problems don’t ask them for something without cheese…. they will not understand that. However being lactose sensitive myself I would say they use a high-quality cheese as I never had a bad reaction to their food so far. They will try to accommodate you in case you are vegetarian, just double check with your bartender to make sure the dish doesn’t contain animal protein before eating it.

Drinks are well mixed, not those diluted liquids that have more ice than alcohol (put it in your notes about South Beach). Of course, wine and beers are at a very low price during a happy hour but the specialty is the caipiroska. well yes, it is an Italian place. why are the caipiroskas their signature cocktails? I don’t know but I also can’t care less, They are fruity, please you choose from strawberry, kiwi, classic, leeches etc. and are super tasty and done with love and at the end, this is all that matters.

Piola is located at 701 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139  T. +1 (786) 453 2132
