Have you been at a happy hour in your fancy neighbor’s garage? how about underwater?
This is the feeling that you will get here.
Sushi Garage opened already some time ago in what was an industrial part of Miami Beach (if you read my posts you already know it is in Sunset Harbour). Prior to the opening of all the beautiful places around Sunset Harbour, it was a place to take your car for repairs. The fancy detailing shops were located here. later they relocated to more popular and cheaper industrial areas over the bridge in Miami and the place was left with huge warehouses opened for designers creativity. Alejandro Barrios really set free his imagination to create such an innovative space.

Fanciest Oil Can

He managed to combine the industrial feeling of the garage with the chick vibe of South Beach locals, bringing elegance and charm.
If it wasn’t enough he decided to submerge all that and bring you to the underwater kingdom (just look up to all those Koi fishes swimming above your head which is actually an art piece from Alberto Cavallieri).

You know I usually talk about food and go trait to the point so guess how impressive is the place that I dedicate whole 2 paragraphs to its decor. So let’s talk Happy hour!

Seaweed Salad

And in that area, Sushi Garage is not lacking either! the happy hour here runs 30 extra minutes from every other place. So if it is already 7 pm, you are still on time to order your drinks and food and even repeat.

They introduce new drinks once in a while so visit often so you can try new mixology flavors. and keeping with the industrial elegance how about having a drink served in an oil can? but wait it is a glass oil can! this is how Kyushiki is served. Prepared with the finest Japanese whiskey will please any whiskey lover.

Steamed Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings

Food portions are not small so you will have the ability to share your food (because this is what happy hours are all about) prices are under $10 so you can taste several wonders. rolls come at half roll, which I personally very much appreciate because I can taste several rolls and still have space for some more.

Honestly, it is hard for me to describe every the tastiness of every dish. I mean, English is not my first language and I am not highly versed in food industry terms, so I will just say: FOOD IS FREAKIN AMAZING!
But ok, let me tell you, you must try the seaweed salad ( I am literally craving it since the day I ate it first) hot stone rice bowl (that is a big portion and good to share with 4 or even 6 people)  and you have an option of having it with organic chicken, beef, shrimp or just veggies, chicken and shrimp gyoza, dumplings (I love dumplings and try them in every place that serves them and honestly, they really took dumplings to a next level)  and of course a bowl of shishito peppers (that one is huge)

Just so you how awesome the food is, during winter times there is a huge wait line outside and the place is 4000 sqf. Yes, it is that good!!!!

To finish I would say, I really hope I managed to transmit you all feeling of casual elegance. Once you try them you will be moving to the area just to be closer and visit more often,

what to wear
